After conducting a series of hook and bait checks on our anglers, it seems that not everyone is deciding to follow the rules including some members!

Makins Fishery has only ever allowed BARBLESS hooks to be used on the lakes, any kind of barbed hook is strictly banned.

Makins Fishery feed pellets ONLY to be used on this fishery (this includes PVA Bags), these can only be bought in our on-site tackle and bait shop in sizes 2mm/4mm/6mm/8mm. The pellet rule has been in place since Easter..

We will now be performing DAILY hook and bait checks, anglers will receive ONE WARNING if they are not using makins fishery feed pellets. Repeat offenders will be banned, and if the offender is a member they will lose their membership.

We don't have a lot of rules, but please follow the ones' we have please.
